John Pendleton Kennedy letters, 1857-1863.

The collection consists of two letters: to Dear sir [Geo. M. Towle], 14 June 1857, regretting that he cannot supply a letter by Wm. Wirt, and directing him to Wirt's sons-in-law; to My dear [Ch. A.] Davis, 1 Dec. 1863, about Civil War politics. A pencilled note on the verso serves to forward the letter from Davis to Erastus Corning.
